The Goodwood festival of speed

The Goodwood festival of speed takes place from Thursday 4th July until Sunday 7th July 2019. It is a must for all car enthusiast. It is an annual hill climb featuring historic motor racing vehicles held in the grounds of Goodwood House, West Sussex.

Currently you can only access the festival by buying advanced tickets and each day is capped at 150,000 visitors. There are a number of different packages you can choose from, starting from around £40 for a normal entry ticket upwards of a thousand pounds for some of the hospitality tickets.

As the event spans over a few days, many people want to be able to spend the whole weekend there. There are a number of local hotels and B and B’s in the area but they often get booked up pretty quickly and the on site accommodation only offers a very small number of rooms. There is also an option of camping (again there are different packages you can chose from) and for those who want something in-between, there’s glamping.

For car enthusiasts this is the show to go to. It has been running for many years and has proved extremely popular. It is a family event meaning you can take the kids along with you for a weekend of fun.
